Privacy policy

This policy covers the 504 Sites website at 504sites.com. 504 Sites ("we", "us") builds and maintains websites for small businesses from New Orleans, Louisiana. We keep what we collect to a minimum, and we don't sell or rent your personal information.

Information you give us

When you send us a message through our contact form, we receive:

• your name and email address
• your business name, phone number and current website, if you include them
• anything you write in your message

When you sign up for a plan, you pay through Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details directly; we don't see or store your full card number. If you email us, we receive whatever you share. We use this information to reply to you, provide our service and keep a record of our conversations.

Information collected automatically

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, how they found us, roughly where they are (city or country), what kind of device and browser they use, and how long they stay. Google Analytics uses cookies to tell visits apart. It loads only after you scroll, tap, click or press a key, or after a few seconds on a page.

Hosting. Our hosting provider, Netlify, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and the site sets no cookies of its own. Our fonts are served from our own site, so loading a page doesn't send your information to a font provider.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the site and the business:

• Netlify hosts the website and receives contact form messages.
• Stripe processes plan sign-ups and payments.
• Google provides Google Analytics.
• Our email provider handles messages sent to our email address.

These providers process information on our behalf, under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and client records for as long as we need them to respond to you, provide our service and keep reasonable business records. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics data-retention settings and then deleted by Google.

Your choices

• Cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works normally without them.
• Analytics: Google offers a browser add-on to opt out (opens in a new tab) of Google Analytics on all websites.
• Your information: to see, correct or delete the information you've sent us, email hello@504sites.com and we'll take care of it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and we limit access to your information to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Information is processed and stored in the United States.
